Coca-Cola Careers Expo - your ‘one stop shop’ for career planning

Feeling confused about choosing a trade or career path?

Unsure what skills you will need now and in the future for the fast changing job market?

Really wish you could get some advice from someone who walks the talk?

The good news is the Coca-Cola Careers Expo can help answer your questions and focus you on the path to your future career.

In its 19th year, New Zealand’s largest and longest running Coca-Cola Careers Expo will visit Christchurch from 9 – 11 May at Westpac Arena, providing a ‘one stop shop’ of training and career-planning information and advice.

Coca-Cola Careers Expo organiser, Mark Gillard, explains the event is designed to help students put a long-term career plan in place.

“Choosing a career path can be overwhelming. Navigating the options to find a good match for your skills and interests is the first step. However, given how rapidly the job market is changing due to technology advancements, economic conditions, healthcare restructuring, globalisation and a range of other factors, it’s important to think beyond training for a specific job and consider how that job or career may look in 5, 10 and 20 years time.

“Once you have a glimpse into the future of that career or industry, is that still the right path for you? The Careers Expo provides a forum for one-on-one time with experts from a range of industries who will have the best insight not only into what it is like to be in that career now and what training is required, but where they think that field is going based on their real world experience.”

The Careers Expo offers access to education providers, ITO’s and industry professionals in one space, enabling visitors to interact with key people who can help them make informed career path decisions now and for the future.
