STAND SPECIFICATIONS

All Stands are 3.6m x 3.6m (12.96m2) with Black Velcro-receptive walls, 2.3m high. As outline in the application form black walls come standard with your stand purchase. If you would like colored walls, you these directly from Peek Display. You will be charged directly at $15.00 + gst per linear meter
Exhibitors desiring carpet will need to make their own arrangements which can be made with Peek Display Corporation Ltd or any other preferred supplier.

The Expo Management must be notified prior to the expo of the following:

  • The intention of bringing in large machinery so special arrangements can be made
  • If any live animals are being brought into the Show
  • Of the intended operation of any machinery i.e welders, power tools etc which may cause injury or fire. Please note these requests must have prior approval of the venue management for OSH and insurance purposes

Consignment Deliveries to CBS Arena

As the Christchurch Expo commences on a Monday we have arranged for deliveries to be taken Thursday and Friday of the week prior. A special consignment delivery note must be attached and this can be downloaded by clicking here >>

ADMISSION

Entry to the venue is free for all exhibitors and visitors. The right is reserved to refuse, on reasonable grounds, entry to any person.

PARKING

For exhibitors and school transport, parking is available in a designated area within the grounds of the CSB Arena. Attached separately is a special permit to be displayed on the dashboard of exhibitors’ vehicles.

Vehicles must not be left in the fenced area at the rear of the venue. The general public will be charged a nominal fee for parking. Parking is under control of the Metro Trotting Club and as a result we have no control over their right to charge.

TEACHERS’ EVENING

The Teachers’ Evening will not be held in Christchurch for 2011.

SECURITY

No security passes as such will be used. Within the pavilion, security will be maintained at all times throughout the EXPO including build-up and breakdown. Even so, the rule is, ‘all practical care but no responsibility taken.’ We therefore recommend due vigilance at all times when the EXPO is open to the public and also during build-up and breakdown.

To maintain maximum security for everyone’s belongings, the security guards will be acting under the direction not to allow without prior notice the removal of any goods at the end of each day until the conclusion of the EXPO.

Security is maintained by the Westpac Centre security staff under normal operating guidelines. Any special requirements would need to be arranged prior to the EXPO.

REFRESHMENTS

A catering concessionaire (responsible to the CSB Arena Management) operates within the EXPO facilities. Snacks and light meals will be available throughout the duration of the EXPO.
Also, Exhibitors may use the special Exhibitors’ Lounge at the venue. Tea and coffee in this lounge will be available free to Exhibitors and EXPO personnel only.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Exhibitors will be able to make local calls from phones in the concourse.
Card pay-telephones for public use are located within the venue.

SPECIAL TELEPHONE LINKS

The CSB Arena management can arrange special phone lines and broadband connections to stands at a cost of $89+gst per line. Please contact Jessica McLachlan from CBS Arena to arrange. Contacts below.

High speed computing lines for internet connections or other purposes can be arranged direct with Telecom but please inform Please contact Jessica McLachlan from CBS Arena to arrange. Contacts below.

ELECTRICITY

Electricity this year is supplied as part of your stand package.

STAND LIGHTING

2 lights come standard with your stand package. however arrangements for hired supplementary Stand lighting can be made with Kyle Godfery of PEEK DISPLAY.

STAND FURNISHINGS

Hire of tables, chairs and a variety of associated display items including rental video and other electronic equipment can be arranged through PEEK DISPLAY. To ascertain your needs, Peek Display will be in touch well prior to the EXPO but feel free to contact Kylie at any time.

BANNER HANGING

If you need banners hung, please directly advise the venue management, ie, Please contact Jessica McLachlan from CBS Arena to arrange. Contacts below. Venue staff are required to carry out this function.

ADVERTISING

Advertising and promotion is yet to be confirmed and you will be notified of this in future news letters.

NOISE LEVELS

The EXPO is a very lively place with a clearly perceptible background noise level! In communicating by whatever means with your ‘audience,’ we ask simply that you consider your neighboring Exhibitors. In other words, please keep noise levels to a reasonable and acceptable level. As you will appreciate and as indicated in the contract form, the management must reserve the right to have any ‘offenders’ accede to this request.

FIRE AND EMERGENCY

In the event of fire, please leave the venue immediately by the nearest exit, following the instructions of the venue staff. Do not attempt to take personal belongings with you. Please take note of any disabled persons in your area and assist if possible. Do not obstruct any fire exits with display materials.

A sensitive fire sprinkler system operates in the venue. In presence of smoke, this will be activated automatically.

While making every effort to respect and fulfill Exhibitors’ wishes, the EXPO organisers reserve at all times the right to adjust site plans if deemed necessary. Any exhibitors affected by any such changes will be advised separately and individually.

SCHOOLS ATTENDING

A schedule showing the schools visiting the EXPO and their indicated times of attendance will be e-mailed before the EXPO.

MISCELLANEOUS

If you need help or advice during the EXPO, just approach the front desk. All staff will do whatever they can to assist.
